Welcome

We are an Elder Community offering a broad range of specialized services and compassionate care within the Fox River Valley.

Our fine reputation stems from the compassionate care provided by the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity since 1943.  From that beginning, we have grown exponentially in all aspects of our operations.  We have new buildings and new services to meet the increased demands of the older adult..

Today, we take great pride in the evolution of St. Paul Elder Services.  We are no longer “just a nursing home” but instead, a dynamic, thriving retirement community providing a full range of services throughout our continuum.

A charter member of Wellspring. St. Paul Home has adopted clinical best practices that are implemented by committed empowered staff.  St. Paul Home is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services and certified for participation in both the Medicaid and Medicare programs.  Care and comfort are given to our Elderly and to those who are long-term chronically ill, short-term recuperating or terminally ill in a manner that is consistent with our mission and accepted professional standards.

You have a choice in selecting a rehabilitation facility.  Our Center of Rehabilitation (COR) provides therapy and restorative services when you are leaving the hospital and may not be quite ready to return to your home.  We provide specialized care to help you regain optimal physical status and increase your overall level of function.  We can even help you be prepared before your surgery with our pre-registration program.  The COR has its own entry, plus eight private rooms and four semi-private rooms.

Passages is our memory care program whereby our team journeys with each resident and their loved ones through what has often been termed, “the long good-bye.”  Care is provided within two separate and distinct neighborhoods within St. Paul Home that address the unique needs of each individual.

Since opening in 2000, St. Paul Villa has provided assisted living support for those with moderate medical needs who may no longer be able to maintain or reside in their own homes.  As a Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC), St. Paul Villa is designed to provide supportive services based on the individual needs of each tenant.

Our Life Enrichment Center is home to our community outreach services. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Club Gabriel provides adult day services in a cheerful, home-like environment. Club Gabriel’s goal is to provide each member with a fun day, filled with activities and conversation. In Healing Waters, our warm-water therapy pool, we offer water exercise classes year-round for interested individuals and aquatic therapy for those who have a medical condition, an injury or are recovering from surgery. Additional services provided in our Life Enrichment Center include: Bathing, Bladder Health program, Ear Cleaning, Cloud Walkers (foot and nail care) Massage and relaxation therapies and monthly blood pressure screenings.

Our Therapy Services are available to both our residents and to members of the community.  We work with you and your physician to help you reduce pain, restore mobility and balance, regain strength and control and enhance motor skills that can be affected by medical conditions, injuries or surgery.  Our goal, like yours, is to help you return to everyday functions as much as possible and thus restore independence.

St. Paul Elder Services has embarked on a journey to further enrich the lives of the people we serve, by creating St. Paul Hospice Services. The goal of our hospice program is to provide dignified and compassionate end of life care.

St. Paul At Home new-serviceis dedicated to serve and enhance senior citizens by empowering them to enjoy a better quality of life on their own terms.  Our staff is committed to providing products and services to promote responsible, enjoyable aging by preventing premature long term care, relieving isolation and improving overall quality of life.

Opportunities abound at SPES, whether you are a resident, tenant, client, associate, volunteer or visitor.  Our residents enjoy a lifestyle that promotes independence and activity with the assurance that any physical or medical needs are managed by a professional team of care providers.  Our associates work in a supportive setting and are empowered to make a difference in the lives of the residents they serve.

Share your talents, experiences and interests at SPES.  We provide many Volunteer Opportunities to spend quality time with residents.  From personal visits and prayer gatherings to group events and staffing the Gift Shop, our volunteers help make the lives of our Elders more complete.

Visitors to our campus have opportunities to witness the happiness and contentment of our residents. From the children who help care for our pets during our After School Program to the volunteers in our Companions on the Journey Program, it is evident that life is cherished in all its forms throughout our organization. We provide services and employment opportunities to all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or age.

On this web site, you can find information about our facilities and services and search for employment or volunteer opportunities.  SPES publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Clerestory.  This publication contains articles, events, photos, and other information regarding our organization.
