St. Paul Elder Services is proud to celebrate 25 years of serving residents, families and community members at St. Paul Villa (The Villa).
The Villa is a residential care apartment complex (RCAC) that welcomed its first residents in 2000. Since then, The Villa’s apartment-style assisted living community has been home to individuals with minimal to moderate care needs or for those who desire daily opportunities for socialization. The Villa provides supportive services based on the needs of each member, ultimately simplifying his or her living environment. The Villa also provides short-term respite care services for people who are recovering from surgery or illness.
The Villa was built after SPES replaced the Kaukauna Community Hospital with a new building that included The Villa, an addition to the Passages Memory Care program, the Haen Community Center and new therapy department. Demand for the services provided by The Villa was so high that it was consistently occupied and expanded to a total of 89 apartments a short three years after being built.
“To see the Villa’s members pursue their unique interests, benefit from our many programs and services and build relationships with our associates and one another is deeply rewarding,” SPES President and CEO Sondra Norder said. “It perfectly exemplifies the person-directed care approach that our entire team strives toward.”
