President & Chief Executive Officer
Sondra Norder, NHA, JD, joined St. Paul Elder Services as Chief Operating Officer and Administrator in the fall of 2010, and was named President and CEO in summer 2013.
Sondra graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration, Magna Cum Laude, and has been a licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 2001. She also earned her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School and is a licensed Attorney with special interests in health law and elder law.
For the last several years, Sondra has also taught courses in Lakeland College's healthcare management undergraduate and graduate programs, and has also mentored many nursing home administration students who are pursuing their Nursing Home Administrator licenses, serving as a Preceptor for the students of her alma mater, UW-Eau Claire's Health Care Administration program. In 2015, Sondra was honored with the "Tomorrow's Leaders" award from the Catholic Health Association and was elected to the LeadingAge-Wisconsin Board of Directors, where she currently serves on the Executive Committee as Board Secretary. She is a member of the 2014-15 class of Leadership Fox Cities. In 2018, Sondra was elected to serve on the advisory board of the Center for Health and Aging Services Excellence at UW-Eau Claire. She also serves on the Performance Improvement Committee at St. Paul's sister organization, Holy Family Memorial Hospital, in Manitowoc.
Sondra is originally from Bear Creek, WI, where she attended St. Mary Catholic Grade School; she graduated from Clintonville High School. Sondra has one son, Brady, and lives in Appleton. In her spare time, her hobbies include golf, bird watching, fitness, baking, and, most importantly, engaging with Brady.
Sondra feels fortunate to have felt the calling to St. Paul Elder Services and knows this is where she is meant to be at this time in her life. As President and CEO, Sondra is committed to leading SPES in carrying on the progressive ways in which we have historically carried out the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Chief Financial Officer
Amber Schroeder joined St. Paul Elder Services in June of 2021.
Amber attended the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree emphasizing in Accounting and Finance. She started her career in the manufacturing sector and quickly realized that she missed helping people. For the past 10+ years, Amber has been working as the Financial Services Director at a local long-term care community. She really has a drive and passion to change the culture of senior living to be more person-directed and home-like for our elders and is excited to bring her passion to St. Paul Elder Services.
Amber grew up in Wrightstown where she attended St. John Lutheran grade school and graduated from Wrightstown High School. She is looking forward to raising her children, Jovie and Daxton in Wrightstown with her husband, Aaron. Amber enjoys anything outdoors but especially hiking, biking, and camping with her family, reading, trying new foods, and traveling the US.
Director of Mission and Spiritual Care
Sister Delores, one of six children, was born on a dairy farm in Kewaunee, WI. She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. Sr. Delores had been a teacher for 38 years in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Kauai, Hawaii. She has her teaching degree from Silver Lake College and a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, Chicago, IL.
Prior to working here, besides teaching, Sister Delores had been visiting and praying with the homebound in Whitelaw, Clarks Mills, and neighboring nursing homes. She likes to walk, garden, bake, write poetry, read, and visit family. Having grown up near Lake Michigan, Sr. Delores loves the water.
Senior Vice President
Corey was born and raised in Brillion, WI, and is a 1996 graduate of UW-Stevens Point with a degree in Dietetics. He moved to Nashville in 1997 to complete a one-year internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center to become a Registered Dietitian and returned to the Fox Cities in 1998. He started at an area assisted living facility but moved into acute care at Theda Clark, serving as the Coordinator of Nutrition Services for over four years. He joined the SPES Team as Director of Nutrition Services in the summer of 2003. He was named the Senior Director of Support Services in 2013, with oversight of the nutrition services, environmental services, emergency preparedness, information technology, and purchasing departments. Corey was promoted to Senior Vice President in December 2023.
Corey has four children and lives in Little Chute with his wife Courtney and daughter Charlee.
Director of Corporate Advancement
Laurie joined the St. Paul Elder Services team in July of 2008. Prior to her joining this team, she worked for another health care company for 14 years as the Admissions and Marketing Director. She was born and raised in the Stockbridge, WI area and is the youngest of 8 children.
Laurie attended the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Business Administration.
Laurie and her husband Dave are blessed with two (now adult) children; Bailey and Sawyer. In her spare time Laurie enjoys reading and browsing book stores, going for long walks with their German Shepherd Keno and spending time with family.
Executive Director- Assisted Living Operations
Alyssa Tietz, RN, joined St. Paul Elder Services in October 2021. Alyssa served as the Interim Administrator at McCormick Assisted Living, a ministry of St. Paul Elder Services in Green Bay, WI, until she was promoted to Executive Director of Assisted Living Operations in November 2022. Alyssa completed her nursing degree at Rasmussen College in 2015 and became a Registered Nurse in November 2015. She has spent the last seven years working as a leader in the Assisted Living industry. Alyssa completed the Department of Health Services, code 83.15, approved Administrator’s Course through WALA in 2016. She is also an approved instructor through the UWGB CBRF Training Registry and enjoys being a nurse educator.
Alyssa grew up in Wild Rose, WI, with her parents and four siblings. Currently, she lives in Appleton, WI, with her fiancé David and their blended family of six children. They have five boys Liam, Wyatt, Connor, Carson, and Cayden. They have only one girl, Jaelyn. Alyssa, David, and little Cayden enjoy cheering on the older kids in sports, including cheerleading, football, baseball, basketball, and wrestling!
Alyssa feels blessed to be a part of the team at St. Paul Elder Services. She is dedicated to ensuring that those we serve to receive high-quality, person-centered care. Alyssa is committed to carrying out the mission each and every day.
Administrator
Megan Mashl, NHA, joined St. Paul Elder Services in 2017. She is the Administrator for St. Paul Home. Megan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Heath Care Administration, Magna Cum Laude, and has been a licensed nursing home administrator since 2017. Megan is currently studying at Minnesota State University Moorhead to receive her Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Health Care Administration.
Megan is originally from the area, having grown up in Wrightstown, WI. She attended St. Paul Catholic Grade School and graduated from Wrightstown High School. Megan and her husband, Brett, enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their Golden Retriever, Charlie.
Megan is grateful to be a part of the team at St. Paul Elder Services. Megan is focused on quality and regulatory compliance. She has a great passion for health care and helping others and is dedicated to the mission, vision, and core values at St. Paul.
Director of Environmental Services
Mark Vande Hey joined St. Paul Elder Service in January of 2015 as a Senior Maintenance Technician. In 2017, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Environmental Services, and in 2021 was promoted to his current role as Director.
Mark started his career in the construction manufacturing industry 26 years ago. He gained vast knowledge of the building trades industry during this time. In 2013, Mark decided to use his knowledge of the building trades and his passion for fixing things properly and started his career in facilities maintenance. While Working alongside many facilities’ maintenance professionals, Mark gained the knowledge he needed for his current role at St. Paul Elder Service.
Mark was born and raised in the Kaukauna area. He attended Holy Cross Catholic grade school in Kaukauna, WI, and graduated from Freedom High School in Freedom, WI. Mark and his wife, Becky, reside in Kaukauna with their two children, McKenna and David. Mark enjoys spending time with his family and friends and camping throughout Wisconsin.
Director of Rehabilitation Services and Managed Care Services
Shanna joined SPES in November 2021 as the Director of Rehabilitation and Managed Care Services. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2003. The majority of my career has been spent in long-term care as a Speech-Language Pathologist before transitioning to a leadership role in 2015. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on Healthcare Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is scheduled to graduate in December of this year. She has a passion for the long-term care population and is a strong advocate for functional, person-centered care. Originally from Alabama, she spent time living in Colorado, Montana, and Tennessee before settling in the Fox Valley with her husband and their son, Warren, in 2013. They love spending time outdoors. In the summer, you can find them boating, biking, or camping, and in the winter, they love to downhill or cross-country ski. Shanna feels honored to work for an organization that lives its mission and culture daily.
Director of Social Services
Diana has been the Director of Social Services since joining the St. Paul Team in 1993. She was raised in Berlin, WI and is the youngest of three children. Her mom, Julia remains living in Berlin. Her sister lives in Austin, TX and her brother in Madison, WI.
Diana received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from UW-Oshkosh in 1991. She married Joel in 1992 and together they have two children, Justin and Stephanie, who keep both parents very busy. In her free time Diana enjoys family time, shopping, reading, playing and participating in sports, and watching “reality TV.”
Clinical Director of Nutrition Services
Lisa joined St. Paul Elder Services as the Clinical Director of Nutrition Services in the fall of 2015. Lisa holds a degree in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and is a registered dietitian, with special training in geriatric nutrition. She lives with her husband, Jon, and daughters Lily and Nina in Howards Grove. Lisa is an avid runner, having run the Boston Marathon and numerous other races and events.
Director of Nutrition Services
Brandi Moon Bruley, CDM, CFPP joined St Paul in August of 2021 as the Director of Nutrition Services. Brandi began working as a Dietary Aide of a local nursing home in 2012, and from there began her education in Hospitality Management and Event Planning. Brandi’s passion is helping people and coordinating catering events for the enjoyment of elders.
Brandi was born and raised in Appleton, WI, and recently moved to the Kaukauna area with her husband. She enjoys riding their Harley Davidson in the summer, and reading and writing as a hobby when it’s cold outside. She has three fur babies that are extremely spoiled, and has loved getting to know Bella at St Paul. Brandi and her husband are proud God-Parents to four god-sons, and hope to expand their own family soon. “
Director of Therapeutic Recreation - St. Paul Home
Josie Troullier, CTRS, joined the SPES team as the Director of Therapeutic Recreation and Volunteer Services in March of 2020. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse in 2018 with a Bachelors of Therapeutic Recreation. Josie is certified through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification and continues to educate herself on the benefits and new interventions used in Therapeutic Recreation practices.
Josie has experience working among many populations including a variety of physical disabilities, mental illnesses, and intellectual disabilities, but her true passion is working with older adults in a long-term care setting.
Josie resides in Manitowoc, close to her family. She enjoys reading, staying active, spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.
Director of Nursing
Laura Weber, RN DON-CLTC, joined SPES in October 2019. Laura has worked in Long Term Care for the last 18 years, graduating with her nursing degree in 2006. For the past eight years, she has been a Director of Nursing and has a passion for helping others and working with people living with Dementia. She received her certification as a Director of Nursing in Long Term Care in 2015.
Laura and her two daughters, Madilyn and Tatym, live in Manitowoc. In her spare time, she enjoys watching them play hockey and train in taekwondo.
Executive Assistant and Development Coordinator
Annie joined St. Paul Elder Services in the summer of 2018 as Executive Assistant to the President and Development Coordinator. Annie embraces the philosophy that "the mission is in the interruption" and enjoys the day-to-day changes that come along with working at SPES. Annie is committed to fostering a kind and accepting culture for associates, residents, tenants, and visitors alike.
Annie is from Door County and moved to the Fox Valley in the spring of 2017. She enjoys spending time with friends, family, and Bella, the sweetest therapy dog around. Annie is passionate about advocating for those often misunderstood in our local communities. Annie is an avid podcast listener, Green Bay Packer watcher, and coffee drinker. Annie rarely turns down an opportunity to take a walk, brunch, or do anything social.
Therapy Dog
While she's not exactly part of our Leadership team, “Harvestime’s Liberty Bella,” AKA “Bella,” is Miss Popular around here, so we couldn't resist including her. Bella made her new home at St. Paul Elder Services in September of 2015 at just 7 weeks old. She is a pure-bred Golden Retriever from Harvestime Kennel in Menasha. Her parents are both certified therapy dogs, and in November 2018, she passed her exams to become certified as a Therapy Dog and Canine Good Citizen as well so that she can follow in their footsteps. Sondra Norder, our President & CEO, is Bella's "main human" and is therefore her certified therapy dog handler. During the day, Bella spends time with a number of employees and volunteers making visits to residents and tenants, getting exercise and play, and napping. In the evening, she can be found in her pen area within our Center of Rehabilitation. Bella loves tennis balls, belly rubs, and peanut butter, and is an extremely gentle, eager-to-please companion who brings immeasurable joy to the St. Paul community.
