We are proudly celebrating 80 years of caring this month, and as part of this milestone year, we are beginning a culture transformation from resident-centered care to person-directed life. This change is an innovative approach to care that empowers residents to have control over how they live their daily lives. To make this change, we are working with Action Pact, a unique culture change organization, implementing their Household Model. The Household Model will change the way tenants at SPES are cared for by empowering them to choose how they want to run their daily lives.
The way caretakers provide care for individuals will also be different, shifting from the traditional top-down hierarchical structure to a more localized decision-making process.
