Representatives from St. Paul Elder Services (SPES) and their Green Bay campus, McCormick Assisted Living, participated in their home communities’ Walk to End Alzheimer’s events; together, the teams raised over $5,500.00 for the Alzheimer’s Association, an organization that SPES has long supported.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place in over 600 communities, including walks in the Fox Cities and Green Bay, and is the world’s largest fundraiser for the disease, providing opportunities for research and support to better serve people living with Alzheimer’s and their families.
The Alzheimer’s Association’s mission is well-aligned with SPES, as its Passages Memory Care Program has been providing memory care assistance to those living with memory loss and their families for decades. Programs and services are available for people and caretakers at all stages of memory loss. Passages day programs support cognitive function while providing respite for caregivers. As memory loss progresses, assisted living and skilled nursing options are available and provide memory care-trained staff, engaging daily schedules and safe, welcoming communities.
